He Lies!

My student Aldo (see He Calls Me "Inang") and I just discussed a German text "Deutschlehrer in Singapur" (in English: German teacher in Singapore). It was a story of a Singaporean man who speaks Chinese, English and German. He has studied in Germany. Then he came back to his country and taught German there.

As Aldo read the part "...hat er zuerst ohne Lehrer Deutsch gelernt..." (in English: at the beginning he had learned German without teacher), spontaneously he screamed, "No, I don't believe it. He lies!" I just smiled and appreciated it as a compliment for a German teacher.

In fact it is not easy for some people to learn German by themselves, therefore they need a German teacher. :-)

You have read text 16.
Please read text 17: "ueber" , "an...vorbei". Which Preposition Should I Choose?
