Coburg: Eine Kleine Stadt oder Eine Kleinstadt?

Das Foto steht auf dem kleinen Tisch an der Ecke. Ich und Nicole sind vor dem Flugzeug, mit dem wir von 14:00 - 14:30 Uhr am 29. Mai 2004 ueber Coburg & Umgebung geflogen sind. Der Flugpreis war 25 Euro / Person / Flug. Das Flugzeug war weder Boeing noch Airbus. ;-) Einfach ein kleines Flugzeug, das nur fuer maximal 4 Personen passen kann. Wir waren nur zudritt mit dem netten Pilot, der uns anschliessend fotografiert hat. :-)

Ich sass davorne neben dem Pilot. Als wir ueber Rauenstein flogen, konnten wir das Haus von Nicoles Eltern schauen, im dessen Hof die Enten gerade gingen und die Hasen spielten.

Wir wollten am Anfang eigentlich die Burg besichtigen. Wir waren schon nah zur Burg. Da wir dieses Flugangebot sahen, dann haben wir anders ueberlegt. :-)

Tja, Coburg ist eine kleine Stadt. Aber es gibt Sachen, die wahrscheinlich weder in jeder kleinen Stadt noch in jeder grossen Stadt zu finden sind. Dieses Flugangebot, mit dem jeder Spass haben kann. Das Asiengeschaeft, wo wir einige indonesische Lebensmittel kaufen konnten und dann zu Hause indonesisch kochten. Asiengeschaefte sind selten. Damals mussten ich und Marita nach Winsen fahren, um in einem Asiengeschaeft einzukaufen, waehrend Marita in Salzhausen wohnte.

Abends war es schon viel los in der Kneipe dank einem Konzert. In Coburg hab ich ja ein luxurioeses Gebaeude gesehen, wo Firma Kaeser liegen sollte. Das wundert mich, ob diese Firma die Zentralstelle der Firma Kaeser ist, die ich in Jakarta auch fand. Ich war von 27. - 30. Mai 2004 in Coburg gewesen und fand, dass die Stadt ruhig, einsam und sauber ist.

Das war eine kurze Geschichte von der kleinen Stadt Coburg. :-)

Neulich habe ich einen Text gelesen, als ich den Unterricht vorbereitete. Da hab ich das Wort "Kleinstadt" gefunden. Dann ueberlegte ich gleich, was der Unterschied zwischen den Begriffen "eine kleine Stadt" und "eine Kleinstadt" ist. Ist Coburg eine kleine Stadt oder eine Kleinstadt? Wann kann ich den Begriff "eine kleine Stadt" nehmen und wann muss ich den Begriff "eine Kleinstadt" nehmen? Dann wendete ich mich sofort an meine Freunde. Ich halte alle einfach fuer Freunde. :-)

So nun die Frage: Also der Begriff Kleinstadt bezieht sich auf die Einwohnerzahl von mindestens 5000 bis maximal 20.000 Menschen. Eine kleine Stadt beschreibt die flaechenmaessige Ausdehnung / Groesse einer Stadt. Man koennte dort auch den Begriff Dorf benutzen oder man sagt einfach: das ist eine kleine Stadt. Schwierig, aber ich kann dies auch nicht anders erklaeren! Also man kann beides sagen!

Meine Suesse, du bist so klug und hast soviel studiert. ...Eine kleine Stadt ist immer auch eine Kleinstadt. Eine grosse Stadt ist aber nicht immer eine Grossstadt. Grossstadt ist ein Begriff, der festgelegt ist fuer Staedte, ab einer bestimmten Einwohnerzahl. Ich hoffe, das hilft dir.

Zu Deiner Frage: "Coburg ist eine kleine Stadt oder Coburg ist eine Kleinstadt?" - Man kann beides sagen. "Kleinstadt" bezieht sich vielleicht noch etwas staerker auf eine eingeschraenkte Einwohnerzahl und ist eine Art Fachausdruck, das Gegenteil von Grossstadt.

(Sabine gab mir auch das Link ins Wikipedia wegen des Ausdrucks "Kleinstadt". Also, nach Wikipedia heisst Kleinstadt: ein Ausdruck fuer die Klassifikation einer Stadt nach Einwohnern & Funktion, allgemein unter etwa 20.000, regional aber auch mit anderer Definition.)

Zuerst zu deiner Frage: Kleinstadt und kleine Stadt sind eigentlich das Gleiche. Wobei Kleinstadt gebraeuchlicher ist.

Deinen Blog finde ich weiterhin sehr spannend und lese ihn ab und zu. Es ist so spannend, eure Sprachprobleme bzw. Fragen zu lesen und darueber nachzudenken. Da ich ja selbst Spanisch lerne, kann ich sehr viel davon gut nachvollziehen. Ein Freund aus Spanien lernt Deutsch, wir schreiben uns auch regelmaessig, und er hat fast die gleichen Fragen / Probleme wie ihr. Witzig. :-)

Also, gut. Dann ist Coburg eine kleine Stadt und Coburg ist auch eine Kleinstadt. (Solange deren Einwohner noch unter 20.000 Menschen sind. ;-) )

Coburg, Sebuah Kota Kecil di Jerman

Foto itu terletak di atas meja kecil di pojok. Saya dan Nicole berdiri di depan pesawat yang kami sewa dari pk. 14:00 - 14:30 tgl 29 Mei 2004. Kami terbang dengan pesawat tersebut di atas Coburg dan sekitarnya. Harga sewa 25 Euro / orang / penerbangan. Pesawat itu bukan Boeing, bukan juga Airbus. ;-) Hanya sebuah pesawat kecil yang hanya bisa memuat maximal 4 orang. Kami cuma bertiga dengan pilot yang ramah, yang sesudahnya memotret kami. :-)

Saya duduk di depan di samping sang pilot. Ketika kami di atas Rauenstein, kami dapat melihat rumah orang tua Nicole. Di pekarangannya beberapa bebek sedang berjalan dan kelinci-kelinci sedang bermain.

Awalnya kami ingin mengunjungi puri. Kami sudah berada di dekat puri, tetapi kami berubah pikiran saat melihat tawaran rekreasi dengan pesawat terbang. :-)

Ya, Coburg sebuah kota kecil. Tetapi di sana terdapat hal-hal yang barangkali belum tentu bisa ditemukan di setiap kota kecil, bahkan di setiap kota besar. Rekreasi dengan pesawat terbang ini, yang dapat membuat senang tiap orang. Juga toko Asia, tempat kami dapat membeli beberapa bahan makanan khas Indonesia, sehingga di rumah kami dapat memasak makanan Indonesia. Toko Asia itu jarang. Beberapa tahun sebelumnya saya dan Marita harus pergi ke Winsen dulu untuk mendapatkan toko Asia, sementara Marita tinggal di Salzhausen.

Malam hari sudah ramai di kedai minum berkat adanya konser. Di Coburg saya melihat sebuah gedung yang mewah, kelihatannya gedung itu merupakan kantor perusahaan Kaeser. Saya takjub dan bertanya-tanya dalam hati mungkinkah perusahaan tersebut merupakan kantor pusat dari perusahaan Kaeser yang pernah saya temukan di Jakarta. Saya berada di Coburg dari 27 - 30 Mei 2004. Kesan saya tentang kota ini tenang, sepi dan bersih.

Itulah kisah singkat dari kota kecil Coburg. :-)

Baru-baru ini saya membaca sebuah teks ketika saya sedang mempersiapkan bahan pelajaran. Dari teks tersebut saya menemukan kata Kleinstadt. Saya langsung berpikir apakah perbedaan dari istilah eine kleine Stadt dan eine Kleinstadt. Apakah Coburg eine kleine Stadt atau eine Kleinstadt? Kapan saya dapat menggunakan istilah "eine kleine Stadt" dan kapan saya harus memakai istilah "eine Kleinstadt"? Klein, yang berarti kecil, dalam "eine kleine Stadt" merupakan adjektif. Sementara klein dalam "eine Kleinstadt" sudah diintegrasikan dengan kata Stadt, yang berarti kota, membentuk sebuah kata benda.

Saya segera menghubungi teman-teman saya. Saya anggap saja semua teman. :-)

Baiklah, sekarang pertanyaan: Jadi istilah Kleinstadt merujuk pada jumlah penduduk mulai dari minimum 5000 sampai maximum 20.000 orang. Eine kleine Stadt menggambarkan luasnya bidang yang dapat diukur / besarnya sebuah kota. Bisa juga dipakai istilah Dorf (=desa) atau cukup katakan: das ist eine kleine Stadt. Sulit memang, tetapi saya juga tidak bisa menerangkan dengan cara lain! Jadi bisa dipakai keduanya!

Manisku, engkau sangat pintar dan banyak belajar. ... Eine kleine Stadt selalu berarti eine Kleinstadt. Tetapi eine grosse Stadt tidak selalu berarti eine Grossstadt. Tentang pertanyaanmu: "Coburg eine kleine Stadt atau Coburg eine Kleinstadt?" - Bisa disebut keduanya. "Kleinstadt" barangkali merujuk lebih kuat pada jumlah penduduk yang dibatasi dan merupakan sebuah istilah, yaitu lawan kata Grossstadt.

Coburg, A Town in Germany

That photo stands on the small table on the corner. I and Nicole are in front of the plane. We have flown by that plane from 14:00 - 14:30 on 29th May 2004 over Coburg and around. The flight price was 25 Euro / person / flight. The plane was not Boeing neither Airbus. ;-) Just a small plane which can only load for maximal 4 persons. We were just 3 persons including the nice pilot, who finally took our picture. :-)

I sat in the front beside the pilot. As we flew over Rauenstein we could see the house of Nicole's parent, where in the yard the ducks were walking and the rabbits were playing.

Initially we wanted to visit the castle. We were already near the castle. But we changed our mind, because we saw this flight recreation. :-)

Well, Coburg is a town*. But, there are things, which are possibly not available in every town, even in every city*. (* The German word Stadt can mean town and city in English. According to the Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary (Singapore: Cambridge University Press, 2008) city means a large town.) This flight recreation, which can give fun to everybody. The Asian shop, where we could buy some Indonesian foodstuff and we could cook Indonesian culinary at home. Asian shops are rare. Some years ago I and Marita must go to Winsen first to find an Asian shop, while Marita lived in Salzhausen.

In the evening there was fun in the pub thanks to a concert. In Coburg I saw a luxurious building, where the company Kaeser supposed to be there. I wondered, whether this company is the headquarter of the company Kaeser, which I also found in Jakarta. I have been in Coburg from 27th - 30th May 2004 and found that the town is silent, lonely and clean.

That was a short story from the town Coburg. :-)

Recently I read a text as I prepared the lesson. From that text I found the word Kleinstadt. Then I thought immediately, what the difference is between eine kleine Stadt (klein, which means small, here is an adjective) and eine Kleinstadt (klein is not an adjective anymore, but bound with the word Stadt makes a noun). Is Coburg eine kleine Stadt or eine Kleinstadt? When can I use the term "eine kleine Stadt" and when must I use "eine Kleinstadt"? I immediately asked my friends. I just consider all friends.:-)

So, now the question: the term Kleinstadt refers to the number of citizens from minimum 5000 until maximum 20.000 persons. Eine kleine Stadt describes the expansion of flat which can be measured / the width of a town. You could also use the term "Dorf" (= village) or just say: das ist eine kleine Stadt. Difficult, but I cannot explain in other way! You can say both!

My sweetie,  you are so smart and have studied a lot. ... Eine kleine Stadt is also always eine Kleinstadt. But, eine grosse Stadt is not always eine Grossstadt. Grossstadt ist a term, which is determined for cities, starting a certain number of citizens. I hope it helps you.

To your question: "Coburg is eine kleine Stadt or eine Kleinstadt?" - You can say both. "Kleinstadt" possibly refers quite stronger to a certain number of citizens and is a form of a term, the antonym of Grossstadt.

(Sabine gave me also the link to wikipedia regarding the term "Kleinstadt". This is the definition according to wikipedia: Kleinstadt is a term for classification of town according to the citizens and function, in general under approx. 20.000, regional, but also with another definition.)

First to your question: Kleinstadt and kleine Stadt are actually the same. In this case Kleinstadt is used more often.

Further, I find your blog very interesting and read it sometimes. It is very interesting to read your language problems or questions and think about them. Since I myself learn Spanish, I can consider many things from them well. A friend from Spain learns German, we correspond also regularly, and he has almost the same questions / problems like you. Funny. :-)

Well, terrific. So, Coburg is eine kleine Stadt and Coburg is also eine Kleinstadt. (As long as its citizens are still under 20.000 persons. ;-) )
