Why Private?

It is simple. You stay at home and the teacher comes to you. You can learn German for 1 until 2 hours per session. If you must learn German in a German course institute maybe it can take long to reach the place. We know, how the traffic in Jakarta is. If you go by car maybe there is a problem with the small parking area. 3 in 1 program can also make difficulties.

If you must go by a public transportation maybe you can have a problem because the place is not strategic. Not many busses (especially Trans Jakarta) can reach the place. You should continue by a taxi or extraordinary transportation means or even going on foot.

Why Now?

Yudi (not his real name) is a doctor, graduated from a catholic university in Jakarta. He was so sad, because his dream studying in Germany didn't come true. He had failed the Goethe-Institut B2 examinations twice. B2 certificate issued by Goethe-Institut is one of the document he should have in applying for a high degree of specialization at a Faculty of Medicine in Germany.

Maybe, if Yudi would have only started earlier in learning German, he would have passed the B2 exam in Goethe-Institut and he would have studied in Germany. As a doctor Yudi must be an intellectual person. He is able to learn and understand German, however he just needs much more time to learn German than his friends who were successful and already went to Germany in September 2010 to study high degree of specialization at Faculties of Medicine.

If you are a student at a university in Jakarta, you already can start learning German now. Just 1X German course in a week if it is burdensome for you taking an additional course besides your study. Your study is of course the priority.

If you are SMA pupils, you also can start learning German now. It is better to start earlier, you will have more chances.

How about Certificate?

A valid certificate of German as Foreign Language is one which is issued by Goethe-Institut. You may learn German independently everywhere, then do the exam in one of Goethe-Institut in your city and get the certificate accordingly. If there is no Goethe-Institut in your city, just find further information from Goethe-Institut.
